Introduction

History

Annoor Islamic School (Part Time) was established in the Spring of 1989. Muslims of Wichita, with the active participation of the members of the Islamic Society of Wichita, responded to the imperative of safeguarding our children by opening a full time Islamic School. They recognized that the ever increasing violence and sexual promiscuity in public schools is a threat that cannot be ignored and that school for their children is more important than a new mosque at this moment.

The seed for the Annoor Islamic school began to fertile in 1996, where twelve dedicated families supported the call toward the beginning of a new era in Wichita's history. Since that day as one classroom school covering grade Preschool, consisting of 12 students; Alhamdulillah we are going to the second year with a certified Muslim teacher and Preschool through 1st grade! Insha Allah, we will continue to grow. Masha' Allah, between 20-30 students ranging up to the 1st grade.

Alhamdulillah, after years of team effort, hard work, the Islamic Society of Wichita was able to purchase a land on November 30th, 1996 and this with the Blessings of Allah (swt) constructed a beautiful Muslim Community Center which serve multiple purpose and mainly its used for our Full-Time and Part-Time Islamic School.
